The coronavirus epidemic has recently hit Ghana like the rest of the world. The best precaution among many others for us now at the Children’s Village is to stay within our walls.
Our village is currently closed to all visitors whiles we are exercising and insisting on various hygiene and precaution measures.
Through your enormous contributions and support, we are able to continue to support many women and children to rise above the poverty line. For the first quarter of this year, the project will undergo many improvements and maintenances.
The school will be getting a complete renovation of its canteen/kitchen facility and a remake of classroom blackboard. Also will be an installation of new shelves for the school storage rooms. For academic work, extra textbooks based on the new school syllabus will be provided to serve the many kids receiving free basic education at our Save Our School(SOS) project.
Furthermore, similar activities will be carried out at the children’s village. We have planned to improve/rebuild the kids’ playground, providing more space, equipment and playing materials for the children. The kids’ library should also get new reading and textbooks, whiles the family houses and kitchen block will be equipped with heavy-duty shelves.
Finally, all non-resident kids under our remote support program will be receiving new textbooks, school uniform and support for school lunch at their respective schools. All these are possible because of your continuous interest and support for our project.
We the children and the staff teams, want to thank every one of you for all the support and all the attention you paid to this cause. God bless you all.
Christmas reminds us that love, happiness and goodwill are the true things that uplift our lives. Its time to celebrate family, friends, and everything else that matters most to us.
Thank you for the happiness you bring to us through your continuous support. Merry Christmas and a happy new year!
The toilets of our village school had to be renewed. A few months ago, a group of pupils from class O2SC (Secondary School for Health and Social Affairs) Berufskolleg Rheine collected deposited bottles on the schoolyard with the idea of making something useful out of it.
A country’s development is dependent on its younger generation, in many developing countries like Ghana, girl child education is still a primary concern.
Happy Summer Days! Schools are on vacation for 5 weeks, and within these weeks, we plan to teach our kids and many others in the surrounding communities for 25 days reading and computer literacy using our facilities at the children’s village project.
